My Fiber Artwork

My artwork is made using various felting methods. I primarily work with wool that I have hand-dyed, but I do enjoy incorporating other natural fibers and elements into my artwork. I specialize in 3D Pet Portraits and seascapes but I'm always open to explore new themes.

Whispers of the Mycelium Network: A Concert of Life

In the shadowed depths of the forest floor, a silent symphony hums beneath the surface. A delicate tapestry of fungal threads weaves through the soil, the forest's unseen caretaker, a guardian of growth and harmony. The Mycelium fosters relationships among the trees, allowing them to share resources and knowledge through silent connections. In its delicate threads, the forest finds strength, resilience, and a quiet, enduring magic.

Vulnerability

This piece was made to bring attention to the decimation of Bull Kelp along the west coast. Bull Kelp forms marine forests from Alaska to central California that support more than 1,000 animal and plant species, including endangered species such as the Southern Sea Otter, Giant Sea Bass and Abalone. Despite an estimated 95% decline in kelp forests since 2014, NOAA has declined to protect Bull Kelp under the Endangered Species Act.
